Dress Code
United Christian Academy Dress Code
Shirts: Solid colored polo shirts or buttoned shirts with a collar may be worn in any color. All shirts must be tucked inside belted trousers, shorts, or skirts. No logos are allowed on shirts, sweaters, or vests. Shirts may be long or short-sleeved—no sleeveless. Polo shirts should have buttons and a least one button must be buttoned. T-shirts worn under polo’s should be white only. No turtlenecks.
Pants: Must be navy, black or khaki (beige). Pants must be worn with a belt. (No all-elastic or drawstring waists.) Pants may not be denim material.
Shorts: Must be navy, black or khaki (beige) and knee-length. Shorts must be worn with a belt. (No all-elastic or drawstring waists.) Shorts may not be denim material.
Skorts: Must be navy, black, or khaki (beige) and knee-length. No denim material.
Jumpers and/or Skirts: Must be navy, black or khaki (beige). Solid bicycle shorts may be worn under skirts or jumpers for modesty.
Sweaters or Vests: Cardigans may be worn over the uniform shirts. These may be in any solid color. Crew neck, V-neck sweaters or vests may be worn over polo’s or collared shirts. No fleece vests or sweatshirts are to be worn in classrooms.
Shoes: Because of the areas covered by students daily, we recommend wearing athletic shoes with socks. Socks must be worn with all shoes.
No sandals, platform, backless, or excessively high heeled shoes are permitted.
Jackets: Jackets will not be allowed to be worn inside the buildings during the school day unless deemed appropriate by the administration.
Special Dress Days: Special Dress Days will be designated by the administration. These may include free dress days, theme dress days and school spirit days, etc.
It is expected that all clothing will be clean, pressed and in good repair. Clothing that is too tight or too loose, or otherwise ill-fitting, or deemed inappropriate by the administration will not be allowed.
No sagging pants, no large chains or excessive jewelry will be allowed. No piercings will be allowed except for girls’ earrings. Hats may not be worn inside. No kerchief or other head coverings are to be worn.
IN MATTERS OF JUDGMENT, THE OPINION OF THE ADMINISTRATION WILL BE FINAL.
