Welcome to UC Academy Arts! I have been a part of the UC Academy community for the past eighteen years as a teacher and for the past two years as the Visual and Performing Arts Coordinator. Giving our students the opportunity to learn and grow in the area of arts is a wonderful opportunity. I’m so grateful to God to get to be doing this job at this time at this place!
God is the ultimate Creator and has made us in His image. This is our creative legacy. The “Arts” have been present in all cultures, at all times, facilitating emotional, physical, and social expression. UC Academy is dedicated to providing an environment that is conducive to the development of student “Arts” aptitude. The Arts enhance every facet of our lives and is a necessary, life-enhancing experience which should be nurtured in all individuals.
At UC Academy we want to encourage and develop that wellspring of creativity that God has placed in our hearts. To dance and sing, to act, draw and paint, to express ourselves in God honoring ways. Many studies today indicate that the arts expand our abilities in Mathematics and Science, English and History, and provide the framework for better understanding and interaction with our universe. We are called to be the Salt and Light of our generation, and the Arts provide a great platform for expressing our God Centered worldview.
I am proud to be part of this Christ centered community. We hope you will come look into our school and see if we can partner together to give your student the best opportunities as they develop and grow.
